Latest News

Our sights on next year.

The 2017 panto  'The Pirates of Spilsby Quay' (the curse of the magic lamp).  performed at the King Edward VI Academy in Spilsby, has now finished its six performances.

We always welcome new talent, whether it be as an actor or singer, musician or techie. If you're handy with a needle you will be especially welcome in our costume department. The stage crew are always in need of a helping hand and we would love to hear from any budding scenery designers or painters. Our props people are amazing but could always do with some help in the design and production department. If you would like to take part or be a part of SLAPS for the 2018 season please contact us on geraldinewillis@outlook.com

CO-OP Community Champions

SLAPS is given a big donation.

Spilsby Co-op (Lincolnshire) recently selected Spilsby Local Amateur Pantomime Society (SLAPS) as their Community Champion for the first quarter of 2016. Ellie Read, store manager, said “Our Community Champion scheme ensures that we raise money for local good causes. We were delighted to select SLAPS because the annual Pantomime is a great community initiative involving local people in bringing light hearted entertainment to Spilsby.

Ed Lane, Author of the last pantomime 'Robin Hood and the Lady Who Lives in a Shoe' and the 2017 panto, 'The Pirates of Spilsby Quay' said, “Our production involved many sections of the community through casting, production, stage management, costume design and marketing. There was a real buzz around the town of Spilsby for weeks afterwards. We are delighted that the Co-op selected SLAPS as Community Champions. They have raised £739.42 which is a magnificent amount for SLAPS
